Discover NSW vouchers

The NSW Government, through Service NSW, has launched Dine & Discover NSW to encourage the community to get out and about and support dining, arts and tourism businesses. NSW residents aged 18 and over can apply for four $25 vouchers, worth $100 in total. The vouchers can be used at participating NSW businesses that are registered as COVIDSafe. Newcastle Museum has registered for this initiative and have a COVID Safe plan in place. 

General entry to Newcastle Museum is free, however Discover NSW vouchers can be redeemed on selected ticketed experiences, such as Colour – a special exhibition direct from Questacon.  

The Discover vouchers can be redeemed on a Family pass only, which retails at $25. A family pass admits four people.

As per the terms and conditions of the Dine & Discover NSW vouchers, you may redeem one voucher per day at Newcastle Museum.  
 
Multiple vouchers can be used towards the one booking, or transaction (yet cannot be from the same person due to the voucher conditions). For example, if you are booking for a group of eight people, you would select two x ‘Discover Voucher’ tickets to add to your cart. Two people within your group will need to present one Discover NSW voucher each on entry at the Museum.  

1. To book, go to the Colour event page and select the ‘Book Now’ button on the right hand side. You will be redirected to our ticketing agent, Try Booking for Colour.  
2. From the Try Booking portal select ‘Book Now’ again. 
3. Follow the prompts to choose your preferred date and time for your visit.  
4. Under ‘Tickets’ you must select the ‘Discover & Discover Voucher’ ticket type if you are wanting to redeem your voucher for your visit. 
5. Click next and you will be taken to the checkout, and asked to complete your booking.  
6. Your Cart will show the Dine & Discover ticket price is reduced to $0.
7. Do not enter any information into the ‘Gift Certificate/Promotion Code’ section. Instead, you will be required to redeem your Dine & Discover NSW Voucher after showing your booking confirmation to staff upon entry at the Museum.  

Bookings are essential and can be made through the website. At the time of booking online, visitors must select the ‘Dine & Discover’ ticket type and progress through the transaction process. At the checkout page, the total cost will be reduced to $0, with a $25 discount showing.  
 
You will be required to show your booking confirmation AND your Dine & Discover NSW Voucher to staff on entry at the Museum. The Dine & Discover Voucher will be scanned at point of entry.  

On the day of your booking, make your way to the Newcastle Museum Hook Door entry (off Workshop Way) and present the following: 

1. Try Booking confirmation for Colour  
2. Digital or printed Discover NSW voucher/s  

Staff will then scan and submit your voucher/s for redemption through the Service NSW Business app. 

If for some reason you have misplaced or since the time of booking used your Discover NSW voucher, you will need to forfeit your booking for Colour.  

All bookings for Newcastle Museum are made online. No bookings are possible onsite at the counter.  

If you cancel your booking prior to the experience your Discover NSW voucher will still be available for use, as it would not have been scanned/redeemed at Newcastle Museum. 

As per the terms and conditions of the Dine & Discover NSW vouchers, if you use a voucher on an experience valued less than $25, neither you nor the business will receive the left-over amount. For example, if you were to select one child ticket for $5 and one adult ticket for $10, you would not receive the $10 balance back.  
 
We encourage you to plan ahead and share your Newcastle Museum experience with friends or family, with four tickets on the family pass!
