Professor Alan Hayes AM, Director of UON's Family Action Centre,will discuss the pressing need for innovative services to address complex social problems and explore the future of Australian families in consideration of demographic, social and economic trends since the Second World War.

Professor Hayes joins UON from the Australian Institute of Family Studies where he served as Director and CEO from 2004-15. His research and policy interests include the pathways children and their families take through life, and the role of families in supporting and sustaining development across life.
